Angaza taa means “shine a light.”
That is the idea behind the brand. Angaza Taa is a small New York brand that makes tote bags and puts 30% of what it earns toward grassroots groups in East and Southern Africa. It started with campus orders and bazaars, and now it makes gifts for organizers who would rather hand out something meaningful.
Each design begins as a block print. The prototypes pictured here are where our five designs come from.
